Guest count must be exact
Pricing, staffing, seating, catering, and safety limits are all built around your final headcount. Please provide an accurate number — no exceptions. Our estate sleeps up to 26 overnight; larger day-of attendance is quoted separately.
Every outside vendor must be listed
All vendors must come from our preferred list, or be submitted for written approval at least 60 days out with proof of insurance. Catering must be provided by a licensed, insured catering company — drop-off with guest self-setup is not permitted. Listing your vendors now avoids surprises later.
Dates & stay requirements
Weekend events require a three-night minimum with a 10:00 AM Sunday checkout. Sharing preferred and backup dates helps us confirm availability quickly.
Day-of event insurance
Hosted events require special event liability insurance. Through our partnership with Eventsured, you can purchase a high-limit, zero-deductible policy for Hemingway Estates — including liquor liability — online in minutes. Get covered through our Eventsured page.
Serving liquor requires a state permit
Beer and unfortified wine may be self-served with event insurance in force. Liquor or fortified wine requires a Limited Special Occasion permit from the NC ABC Commission, which requires our written permission as property owner. Tell us at least 60 days out — the paperwork takes time and we cannot allow liquor service without an approved permit. Any bartender you hire must come from our preferred list and carry their own liquor liability coverage.
